A mother who had lost her only son went to the man of religion in her village and said: "Is there anything you can give me to reduce the pain that I feel?"
"Yes," he said. "There is a wonderful thing you can do.

Push against the rock
A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light and the Savior appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might.

A carrot and an egg
A student complained to his learned teacher about the difficulties he has to endure in his life. He came from a very poor family and had to look after his home and support his aged and sick parents and his younger siblings by working hard every day after the classes in school while his wealthy class-mates could play and rest without any stress or strain. He was almost exhausted and had even thought about committing suicide

A KID’S LIFE
I always wondered why
Jesus said we should be like little children in order for us to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but now I think I have a fair
idea. Outlined below are some attributes of Children.

The Treatment
An old man seated in the doctor's waiting room, when called in to see the doctor, slowly got up, and, grasping his cane and hunching over, slowly made his way into the examining room. After only a few minutes, the man emerged from the room, walking completely upright! A patient who had watched him hobble into the room all hunched over, stared in amazement.
"That must be a miracle doctor in there!" he exclaimed. "What treatment did he give you? What's his secret?"

The Midas Touch
According to Greek mythology, Midas was a king who lived in Phrygia in the eighth century B.C. He was very wealthy and had more gold than anyone in the world. He stored the yellow coins and bars in huge vaults underneath his palace and spent many hours each day handling and counting his treasure.
But no matter how much gold Midas collected and put into his vaults, it was not enough. He always wanted more, and he spent much of his time dreaming about how to obtain still more gold.

The Beautiful Horse
A cosmic god had a horse. The horse was beautiful and also it had many good qualities. But it wanted to be more perfect in every way. It especially wanted to become beauty unparalleled.
One day the horse said to the cosmic god, “0 Lord, you have given me beauty. You have given me other good qualities. I am so grateful to you. But how I wish you could make me more beautiful. I would be extremely, extremely grateful if you could make me more beautiful.”

Will i see You in the Morning
Some time ago when Dr. W. A Criswell was pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas Texas, he told how on an airplane flight he was sitting beside and visiting with a well-known theologian. The man told how he had lost a son who, one day, had come home from school with a fever that he and his wife thought was just a childhood sickness. Sadly it turned out to be meningitis. The doctor gave no hope for the boy's survival.
Travelling Well
Once upon a time, a king had a great highway built for the people who lived in his kingdom. After it was completed, but before it was opened to the public, the king decided to have a contest. He invited as many of his subjects as desired to participate. The challenge was to see who could travel the highway the best, and the winner was to receive a box of gold.
On the day of the contest, all the people came.

A Man and his World
It's an old parable but still relevant. You've probably read about the pastor who was having a difficult time on a Saturday trying to prepare his sermon for the following day. He couldn't concentrate because his young son kept pestering him because he had nothing to do that would interest him.

The winner
I was watching some little kids play soccer. These kids were only five or six years old, but they were playing a real game - - a serious game -- two teams, complete with coaches, uniforms, and parents. I didn't know any of them, so I was able to enjoy the game without the distraction of being anxious about winning or losing - I wished the parents and coaches could have done the same.
The Special Hand
The first grade teacher gave her class a fun assignment — to draw a picture of something for which they were thankful.
Most of the class might be considered economically disadvantaged, but still many would celebrate the holiday with turkey and other traditional goodies of the season. These, the teacher thought, would be the subjects of most of her student’s art. And they were.

Women Making Impact.
I have a ministeration to a group of ladies and the topic is Women Making Impact. Its seemed to me like a touchy issue but when we really look at it. Isnt that what fulfilling purpose is all about. There is no way we can rightly fulfill purpose without making an impact. When i look through the bible i see a long list of impactful women
My Austin (Pt 2)
I am sure you have all been looking forward to the concluding part of the story. As I said he still had the effrontery to come to my office on Tuesday. I was at a loss or what to do. I left him in the lobby for about an hour. Dayo, who was a coworker, offered to help me handle him after I told her the story. I said Okay. She went for a while and after talking to him came back to call me ( she literarily dragged me). As i looked at him. A very hateful and vengeful feeling rose up in me ( In fact, If I had a gun I would have shot him, but thank God I didnt). He looked at me with a piteous eye and proceeded to tell me he was sorry. Sorry, my foot, my head screamed.

My Austin
I always loved to rejoice with those that rejoice and that was my motive as i joined the whole church in celebration of the arrival of a new baby. As we got to the front, the Pastor-in-charge prayed for the baby and stretched the phone to the father of the baby for his testimony
"Praise the Lord," he boomed.
I jerked at the voice. The voice was so familiar as i stretched my neck to look at the father, I opened my mouth wide enough to allow a ball of eba. Its not true, i kept repeating. This was the same guy who had dropped a Card and a bottle of wine for me at my office the previous week. He couldn't be married, I reasoned. This is Austin, my Austin.
What do you hear
“That’s incredible,” said his friend. “You must have superhuman ears!”
A Native American and his friend were in downtown New York City, walking near Times Square in Manhattan. It was during the noon lunch hour and the streets were filled with people.
Cars were honking their horns, taxicabs were squealing around corners, sirens were wailing, and the sounds of the city were almost deafening. Suddenly, the Native American said, “I hear a cricket.”

My Love Story (Pt 2)
Yes…. Did I say I
called it quits totally. Yes I did with the help of God, and you can trust the
devil he continually whispered words of doubt telling me not to loose the guy
that seems to love me so much, and to make matters worse, he was still hanging
around, but I remained resolute and stood my ground.
At that time I had
plans to travel to America
for further studies but I felt in my spirit that that was not the step for me to
take. God showed himself strong and I got a good job with one of the best banks
in Nigeria
(though I’ve left the bank now. They are still on top of their game).
My getting the job
truncated all my plans for going for my masters and positioned me to meet him.
Yes back to our gist. God sent someone to me exactly eight months after the
break up but he didn’t look like what I wanted because of all the reasons
outlined below.

My Love Story (pt1)
“Aderonke, how are you,”
My one and only elder sister said to me on phone
“I’m fine”
“What is this am
hearing about you being in a relationship with someone who is not born again,”
She accused
“No, I am not in a
relationship with him. Its just that I am in love with him.” I Stammered
“You know he is not
even someone ready to become a Christian. His denomination does not even
believe in the Holy Ghost and so many other things. That love is not love; you
better cancel it from your heart. There is more to marriage than feelings” She said
matter of factly as she said her goobyes and dropped.
Everyone doesn’t seem
to understand me, I moped. Have they ever been in love. Have they ever felt so
loved. I laid down on the bed and the tears seemed to come again.
“God, you are my only
ally, Try to understand me,” I plead in my heart

A Divine Revelation.
I had a revelation last night
about a man who constantly beats his wife and can’t seem to control the urge,
even though he knew that it was wrong.
He prayed about it and God showed him a vision. In that
vision he looked so huge and muscular while his wife was small and petite.
He asked God if it was because of his size that he
beats his wife, God told him this "I gave you that huge stature to be able
to
